Christmas 2016

The band’s Christmas season was a success, starting early, on November 19th, with a day trip to York, where we played outside Betty’s cafe in St Helen’s Square, and the following week with our Pie and Peas evening at the Masonic Lodge.  We played at the Christmas lights switch on in Hebden Bridge, welcomed commuters at Hebden Bridge Railway Station, entertained the folk of Mytholm Meadows sheltered accommodation, members of Mytholmroyd Working Men’s Club and shoppers at Morrisons supermarket in Todmorden to name but a few events.  A highlight was our appearance on ITV Yorkshire’s Calendar Christmas special – with our Musical Director Richard Brier – being interviewed live!  And we raised £514.99 for the Candlelighters charity with the collection at Carols in the Square on Christmas Eve.
